National Day of Prayer

Because of the faith of many of our founding fathers, public prayer has had a long-standing and significant history in America.  The National Day of Prayer is observed on the first Thursday in May.  It has significance for our nation and helps us recall how our founding fathers sought after the wisdom of God when facing critical decisions.  It's also a call for us to humbly come before the Lord to seek His guidance and grace upon our nation.


Unsure what to pray for?  Use the below eight topics* as a guide.  In the end, not only is spending time to pray and lift up our hearts before the Lord on behalf of our country important, but it's something we are instructed to do (1 Tim 2:1-2).
