Did you know there is a way to give to Alaska Baptist Church without actually sending money? Amazon has made a way for individuals who shop on their website to donate a small portion from their purchases to a charitable organization. ***On 1/18, Amazon announced that AmazonSmile will be discontinued as of 2/20/2023***
Here's How It Works
AmazonSmile is a simple way for anyone to support their favorite charitable organization each time they shop at no cost to them (the gift is sent by Amazon).
When one goes to AmazonSmile, you'll find the exact same prices, selection and shopping experience as Amazon.com ...but with the added benefit that AmazonSmile donates 0.5% of eligible purchases to the charitable organization of the person's choice.
Currently, Alaska Baptist Church receives $100-$200 each year in AmazonSmile contributions from individuals who have selected the church as their charitable organization. Once setup, the key thing to remember is to always shop at AmazonSmile rather than Amazon.
To support the church with your Amazon purchases depends on how you do your shopping.

How to use Amazon Smile (on your computer):
1) Visit https://smile.amazon.com/
2) Click on the yellow “Get Started” button to select your charity: Alaska Baptist Church
3) Start shopping and once you do, a small portion of almost every purchase will generate a small donation to the church.
If you do your shopping via an app on your smartphone:
1) Open the Amazon Shopping app
2) Navigate to the main menu
3) Tap in Settings and then select “AmazonSmile”
4) Select your charity and the follow the on-screen instructions to turn on

5) Once AmazonSmile has been activated in your app, future eligible purchases
will generate a donation for the church.
